The Buzz Project supports 14-25 year olds in Lochaber to build their resilience, identify and fulfil their potential and move into a positive future.
We provide open sessions on a refurbished bus which is driven out to remote communities to provide a safe youth-only space for playing and recording music, social time and learning about self and the world. We run workshops on personal development, organisational development, current affairs, music and multimedia topics on the bus and in a shop in the High Street we have called Studio Two. We also work with young people to devise music and multimedia projects which they want to design, run and evaluate.
All our work is underpinned by one-to-one support either as conversation, mentoring or counselling. We aim to enable participants to be connected, aspiring, skilled, happy and healthy. To access the service locally check our facebook page for destinations and just come along or ring the Senior Youth Worker, Simon Nicholls, for an informal chat - contact details below.
