<h1>Barnardo&#8217;s Scotland&#8217;s Best - Stage 4</h1>

<p><h3>What do we offer at Stage 4?</h3>

<p>Scotland&#39;s Best&nbsp;provides young people aged 16-24 with the opportunities to develop in the world of work.&nbsp; The team runs a variety of programmes which ensure&nbsp;you are&nbsp;given the required support to succeed in the workplace.</p>

<p>Scotland&rsquo;s Best is an employability programme with a difference. The aim&nbsp;is to enhance&nbsp;your workplace skills and experience whilst gaining employment. You will spend 4 weeks training with Barnardo&rsquo;s Works.&nbsp; This training&nbsp;will be dedicated to volunteering in the community.&nbsp; Past groups have put on fundraising events such as, a pop-up cinema and quiz night.&nbsp; &nbsp;After this you will complete a 6 week work experience placement.</p>

<p>Scotland&rsquo;s Best is funded through the Commonwealth Games Legacy Fund.</p>

<h3>Who can apply?</h3>

<p>If you are aged 16-24 and interested in increasing your employability skills by volunteering and undertaking a placement then this programme could be for you.&nbsp;&nbsp;Barnardos Works offers&nbsp;this programme in Caithness and Sutherland, Ross and Cromarty, Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey.</p>

<h3>What can you achieve?</h3>

<p>Barnardo&rsquo;s Works deliver SQA accredited folios as part of their training programmes.&nbsp; On Scotland&rsquo;s Best you work towards an <a href="http://www.sqa.org.uk/sqa/14901.html" target="_blank">Employability Award</a> folio at SCQF Level 4.</p>

<h3>Could I get a training allowance?</h3>

<div>Scotland&rsquo;s Best is a voluntary programme so there is no training allowance.&nbsp; However, you may be able to&nbsp;remain on benefits.&nbsp;Speak to your Job Centre Advisor if you are registered with them.&nbsp;You will be given a monetary allowance for your&nbsp;travel throughout the duration of training.</div>
